Your first visit may take a little longer to allow for a thorough consultation. If you add a cut, we will book extra time. A skin test is required at least 48 hours before your first colour appointment, after six months without colour, or if your health or medications have changed. ### Aftercare & Maintenance Use colour-safe shampoo and conditioner, and always apply heat protection. Wash two to three times a week if you can, and keep water lukewarm to help preserve tone. Plan root refresh appointments every four to six weeks for seamless coverage. Permanent tint provides reliable grey coverage and an even result from root to tip. If you prefer a softer grow out, we can blend greys with a demi or create a gently diffused root. How long will the colour last? Regrowth is usually visible at four to six weeks, depending on your hair and shade. Fade on the lengths varies with washing, heat styling and products, which we will guide you on. Do I need a skin test before colour? Yes. For your safety, a skin test is required at least 48 hours before your first colour service, after six months without colour, or if your health or medications have changed. Can a tint lighten my hair? It can lighten natural hair by a few levels but will not lift previously coloured hair. If you want to go significantly lighter, highlights or a dedicated lightening service will be more suitable. Is a full head tint suitable for sensitive scalps?
